Kate Bosworth is the latest celebrity to raid her wardrobe to raise money for Haiti.

The Superman Returns star is donating a Chloe gown she wore to the Food Bank of New York City’s annual Can-Do awards gala last year to Oxfam International’s Haiti Relief Programme.

Susan Sarandon, Meryl Streep, Josh Brolin, Gerard Butler, Amy Poehler and Olivia Wilde are also thought to be auctioning items of clothing for the disaster fund, People reports.

It’s already been announced that Britney Spears is doing her bit for the Haiti earthquake appeal.

She is auction the silver sparkly dress she wore on her ‘comeback’ night at the MTV Awards in 2008, where she picked up three gongs and was praised for putting on a good show for the first time since her ‘meltdown’.

American Fashionistas Set To Attend London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week is officially moving on up in the fashion-week ranks. Gone are the days when people watching at the shows involved watching the likes of Chris Eubank and people from morning TV. This year, if recent reports are anything to go by, we can expect the likes of Olivia Palermo, the Olsens and Tayor Momsen to be gracing the front rows this side of the pond.

Don’t thank me. Sir Phillip Green is the man responsible. After the success of Topshop’s new flagship store in Manhattan, American stars have become so hooked by the store that they want to attend the Unique runway show in September.

Anne Hathaway, Whitney Port, Blake Lively and Kate Bosworth also have been rumoured to attend the upcoming show in September.

Chloé Outpost Finally Opens in L.A.

After years of delays due to construction, Chloé finally opened the doors of its swanky new L.A. outpost on Melrose Place yesterday. The white-walled store — which feels more like an airy townhouse than a retail shop — features a landscaped courtyard, a VIP area, huge skylights and floor-to-ceiling windows.
Yes, it’s gorgeous. But will it sell anything?
Most retail stores are suffering these days (save designer vintage shops, which are cleaning up), but the boutiques on Melrose Place, including Marni, Carolina Herrera and Oscar de la Renta, have never exactly packed ‘em in. And now that the economy is in the crapper, the street is positively empty. “We’ve had so many zero-dollar days lately,” a sales associate at a high-end store on the street told me last month. And rumor has it, shop girls up and down the street are busy twiddling their thumbs instead of ringing up sales.
Chloé, which hasn’t been red hot since designer Phoebe Philo left the company in 2006, still has its share of devotees. But with Barneys New York and Neiman Marcus dramatically slashing prices to move merch, stand-alone designer shops have a hard row to tow.
Despite the gnarly odds, the company’s putting on a brave face — even feting the store with a party at Milk Studios on April 23 hosted by Kate Bosworth and Chloë Sevigny. So there.
